MY FAVORITE THINGS ABOUT SPN FANDOM?

Here are a couple:

1) How IT'S FULL OF CRAZY FANGIRLS. Yet it's always the OTHER FANGIRLS who are crazy

2) How what happens in the actors' personal lives IS NO ONE'S BUSINESS. Unless the person saying that is the one talking about it. BUT JUST TO CLEAR UP RUMORS! AND SAY HOW BAD/HAPPY THEY FEEL FOR THEM! AND TELL EVERYONE ELSE TO STOP TALKING ABOUT IT! AND THAT'S IT!

This is really the first time I've spent significant time online in a "fandom". I never really gave a shit about a show before SPN. Are all fandoms this judgy and preachy and phony and high-horsey? Gag.

Jared/Sandy - anybody's business?

I never, ever post as those of you who have been kind enough to friend me back have noticed but I have this opinion and rather than posting it in the comments of others' journals, I thought I ought to put it here.

I think the Jared/Sandy break up is verry, verry sad. But I do actually think "fandom" is allowed to be interested in it and the circumstances. Here's the thing - Jared talked about Sandy in many, many of his interviews about the show. They cast her as a guest because she was his girlfriend. They talked about each other and their relationship at cons.

If their relationship is so very private and so none of our business, shouldn't the same people saying that now have been saying it then? But they weren't - they were saying how awesome Sandy is (and I think she's great myself) and how cute Jared and Sandy, and so on and so on.

I think it's hypocritical to squee and fangirl an actor's private relationship when it's all sunshine and rainbows and then slag all over people for being just as interested when things go bad. I'm not sorry - I'm interested in what the deal is here. If Jared acted in any way, shape or form like the rumor reports, I'll be very disappointed and will never pay to go to another con, skip over any interview with him, not watch behind the scenes footage. I'll probably still watch the show because I like the characters (when Dean isn't being a misogynist prick) but to me, the other stuff is about the actors - and I won't want to know anything more about this particular actor.

So, basically my point is, I don't think it's cool to swoon over an actor when he's being dreamy and then get all preachy about his "privacy" and "personal life" when he's not. It's a double standard that only benefits the assholes. And their publicists.

    <lj:music>NOT Bon Jovi!</lj:music>

BOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Hated it.

1) God dammit! It was slow, boring, talky and Dean died and is in Hell crying for his brother. F!

2) Hated the singalong: Dean must have definitely been starting to become Hell's bitch when he chose BON JOVI to sing along with. Meg chose Ritchie Sambora as the name she checked into the hotel under in Born Under a Bad Sign and Dean was appalled when he thought Sam was a Bon Jovi fan. Bullshit.

3) Also it sucked that while Sam died in an epic battle in the middle of the street in the most haunted ghost town in America, Dean died on the newly polished hardwood floor of the dining room of a generic suburban house in a cul de sac. LAME! Or maybe that was the start of Dean's Hell? AHAHAH - still LAME!

4) Too many "bitch"es and "skank"s

5) "Carry on my Wayward Son" AGAIN?! Really?! Come on show - try to keep it a little bit fresh

6) Spending time in your last 5 hours bothering to hide a cop car? Really?!

7) Dean DIED and I didn't even really feel it. It was all so cartoony. I cared more when they were nailed by a Semi in season 1 and when Sam was killed in Season 2. CARTOONY. I don't care that they killed him and sent him to Hell. I care that it SUCKED and wasn't AWESOME!

In conclusion: this episode SUCKED.

I just realized today is only WEDNESDAY. This week has been screwy so that's my excuse. Anyway, this post still applies - only you know - for TOMORROW! ...

----------------------
My first post ever - because I am just FREAKING. OUT. about tonight's finale. The Supernatural crew almost always surprises me - I'm just praying that I'm surprised in a good way tonight.

If Dean goes to Hell, if Sam turns evil, if Dean saves himself, but turns Sam evil - whatever happens as long as it freaks me the hell out, has my jaw dropping, covering my mouth to keep from freaking out the neighbors - I'll be happy.

That may be the thing I love most about Supernatural (in addition to Dean's complete kick ass awesomeness) - its ability to take me on a wild ride down a winding country road, bouncing around in the Impala. Thrills, chills, laughs, tears, nail-biting and nose-sniffling emotional ride.

Unfortunately, this season has been up and down in a bad way as well - with some episodes like Mystery Spot and Time is on My Side rocking my world, some episodes like Red Sky leaving me cold, and some episodes like Malleus Motherfucker making me want to smack Dean in the face (Yes! It was THAT BAD).

In conclusion: Dear Supernatural crew, Kripke et al, PLEASE DON'T SUCK TONIGHT. I can stand anything but that.
